Frequently Asked Questions
The standard 12v incandescent bulb used in RVs draws 1.5 amp. The average, high quality, LED light draws .3 amps and outputs 2x as much light. LEDs are about 10x as efficient at producing light when used in a 12v application. There are variables and sometimes the saving and efficiency can be even higher. We have a wide array of bulb and light fixture options that can be custom tailored to fit your needs.
There are two main causes. The most common is from the rubber roof. If your unit has a rubber roof the sealant and outer white membrane of the roof are exposed to UV. The UV causes the rubber and sealant to dry out and start to come off with water. The best solution is to regularly clean and condition your rubber roof. There is specific product designed to help slow the degradation of the roof. EPDM roof manufacturers require its use to keep the warranty of the roof.
The second cause can be from fiberglass. If your RV has gel-cote UV has the same effects as it does on the rubber. Wax and restoring agents can help this as well.
EPDM rubber roof has two layers. A white outside layer and a black lower layer. When the white outer layer wears off due to UV exposure, the black starts to show. There are several products that we sell that can paint on a new outer layer or the roof can be replaced. Some of the paint on products even offer a 20 year warranty and can be done at a fraction of the cost of a new roof.
Yes. In this area we have mild winters but always have freezing temperatures that are cold enough to damage an RV water system. If you don’t have the ability to store your RV indoors or with heat on, you will have something freeze up. The most commonly damaged items are faucets and toilet water valves.
Yes. All toilet paper is not made the same. RV toilet paper is designed to break down and drain easier for the health of your black water tank. Using the wrong paper can lead to clogs, leaking waste water valves and holding tank monitors that are inaccurate.
Uneven tire wear usually indicates and alignment issue. This can be caused by worn suspension, bent axles or misaligned axles. We have ways to inspect and remedy all of those issues.
No we do not. The closest dump station to us is Bellingham RV Park, about 3.5 miles away.
This means that the cooling unit has leaked. This can be accompanied by a yellow stain outside at the rear of the unit. We can repair the refrigerator. It will require a new or rebuilt cooling unit.
No. RV roof top air conditioners are not built to be serviced in that way. If they leak, they need to be replaced.
The universal agreed time frame is annually, regardless of mileage. The mileage varies depending on the manufacture that you ask. The range is every 6,000-12,000 or annually, which ever comes first. The other consideration is brakes. They should be checked and adjusted every 3,000 miles or as performance dictates.

Axle Bearing Service
One of the most commonly used items on your trailer are your axle bearings. The entire weight of the trailer rests on these moving bearings and they are constantly subjected to temperature changes from speed, braking and weather. Let us service your bearings and keep you on the road safely.
Rubber Roof Clean and Condition
Your RV rubber roof can last over 20 years if well maintained. Part of that maintenance is cleaning and conditioning the roof. The manufacture of RV rubber roofing suggests cleaning and conditioning at lease annually and more often if the unit is constantly in the weather and in very dry conditions.
